Indian Water Works Association (IWWA) is a voluntary organization of professionals connected with the
water supply for domestic, industrial and agricultural uses, its treatment and disposal of wastewater.
IWWA focuses basically on the entire “Water Cycle” encompassing the environmental, social,
institutional and financing issues. Founded in 1968 with head-quarters at Mumbai having 36 centers
spread across the country with a membership about 14000 professionals all over the country and
aboard. At the international levels it has relations with other similar associations such as: International
Water Association (IWA), American Water Works Association (AWWA), and Japan Water Works
Association (JWWA). Besides conducting various knowledge sharing activities by various centers, every
year an Annual Convention is organized.
Our Focus
We address the entire water cycle — encompassing not just technical aspects of water and wastewater treatment, but also their environmental, social, institutional, and financial dimensions.
